Based off of almost every post on this blog it probably seems like all I do with my spare time is go to Banff or Disneyland. Truth be told, I love both places more than almost anywhere else in the world but I promise that I go other places and do other things, too. So however repetitive it may seem, here’s another post about a recent trip to Disneyland.
To embrace my inner T-Swift, I’m going to come out and say, “I dunno about you, but I’m feeling 22.” And that’s probably because it was my 22nd birthday a few weeks back (forgot to hit ‘post’ on this bad boy, whoops). I love when it’s my birthday. Second to Christmas, it’s the best day of the year. I even had a final to write on that day, so saying I had an amazing birthday must mean some pretty awesome things ended up happening.
I find myself daydreaming about travelling to new places quite a bit these days. I think life can become too routine and normalized, and with this the prospect of going somewhere new becomes even more appealing. However, a bit of a wake up call can really lift you into a perspective that’s more appreciative of what’s around you.
I think that, after this semester is over, I need to go plant a tree as an apology to nature for how much printing my education has been requiring me to do lately.
In honour of school, I could name it Knowledge. Then it would be The Tree of Knowledge. Too intense. Maybe I’ll just name it Tree.
Longing for the day when I’m not surrounded by piles and piles of hard copies of secondary sources. And for a day when I don’t need to be around technology. The list goes on. Tree, you’re sounding very promising.
